Hello and welcome 

I have lived in Dorset for more than 30 years, all the while photographing it in detail and its wider vistas. I have a passion for photographing all things natural but my greatest love is photographing insects and flowers  - often in their symbiotic relationship. 

Having said that, l almost always have my camera with me and often – rather than chasing an image – l will wait with interest to see what occurs, what draws my attention. I approach photography as a contemplation, each photograph as a moment of wakeful perception.  I want to respond to my environment and to phenomena with a clear and peaceful mind, allowing an image to come to me.  I follow my intuition and  immediate gut responses  to what l connect with. So the pattern on the surface of still water made by a drop falling from a wet tree is of equal interest to the structure of a flower or the beautiful Dorset landscape. 

This is the contemplative approach l want to bring to my photography and underpins all l do. I hope it  brings a sense of cohesion and integrity to what might seem like an eclectic mix. Certainly it is the essence of what l want to express and therefore communicate to the viewer.

I have galleries of Landscape photographs, flowers, plants and trees, and insects. There are galleries of abstract images,  pictorial photos and one of townscapes - plus a gallery of Greetings cards. Many of the photographs l have had made into high quality greetings cards and these are available for sale.
